HISTORY
Heavy Fleet Products Inc. began as Merrifield Brake and Clutch, the main aftermarket source for Brakes and Clutches in the Northern Virginia Area. Jim Clayton started it in 1974 on Dorr Avenue with Fairfax Truck Service soon to follow in Merrifield, Virginia. Mr. Clayton expanded his operation to Chantilly, Virginia and opened Heavy Fleet Products in 1985. After 17 years Mr. Clayton decided it was time to retire, so he sold his business in 1991 to the current owner of Heavy Fleet Products. Through the years both Heavy Fleet Products and Fairfax Truck Service have changed their locations a few times yet having remained in their respected areas of Chantilly and Fairfax Virginia until 2007.
BUILDING
In March of 2007 Heavy Fleet Products and Fairfax Truck Service completed the move into their current location in Manassas, Virginia. The current location houses both businesses featuring a brand new 20,000 sq.ft. award winning facility design, inspired by the current owner on five acres. Fairfax Truck Service has 6 Full Service Bays, each of which is capable of holding a full Tractor/Trailer contained completely inside. We have plenty of Service/Repair/Parts/Office space with an additional 35,000 sq.ft. of outside storage space available for Rent
STAFF
The Heavy Fleet Products team currently consists of 10 employees with a combined 105 years experience in the heavy duty parts business. The Fairfax Truck Service Staff have a combined experience of 55 years in the heavy-duty repair business.
MEMBERSHIP
Heavy Fleet Products is a proud member of the Truck Pride buying group which as of January 2011 has merged with Heavy Duty America thus becoming HDA/Truck Pride. HDA/Truck Pride is the largest independent buying group in North America.
